YOUGNSTOWN, OH (August 13, 2024): The Fourth Annual “Fore! The Arts” Golf Classic was held at the Youngstown Country Club on Friday, July 26 to benefit Opera Western Reserve (OWR), the Henry H. Stambaugh Auditorium Association (HHSAA), the Youngstown Playhouse, and the Youngstown Symphony Society (YSS). The event included breakfast, a day of golf, a cocktail reception with lunch, presentation of prizes, and special musical performances.

“It’s exciting to see so many people come together each year to support the arts. We have some who this is their fourth year participating and some who it was their first. Our goal is to not only raise money for these organizations, but hopefully bring guests in who might not normally attend an arts event. The event gives the golfers a taste of what we have to offer with live performances throughout the outing, the opportunity to meet our staff, and receive tickets for the upcoming season of concerts and performances! Thank you for the support of all those who participated in the Fore! The Arts Golf Classic!” said Dani Dier, Chief Business Officer of the Henry H. Stambaugh Auditorium Association.

The Fore! The Arts Golf Classic raised $71,677.00 to support the four arts and culture organizations. Proceeds will be used to support programming for the 2024/2025 season, educational and outreach activities, and operating expenses. Presented jointly by the boards of directors of each organization, this golf outing is an extension of the partnerships that have been formed to share services, reduce costs, expand programming, and preserve the area’s historic performing arts facilities. The Golf Classic Committee consisted of representatives of each board: Dr. Michael Crist – HHSAA Board, David Kosec – YSS Board, Dr. John Cox – Youngstown Playhouse Board, and Rodney Lamberson – OWR Board.
