Youngstown Symphony Orchestra Announces 2026/2027 Season
YOUNGSTOWN, OH (July 15, 2026): Tickets and Memberships for the 2026-2027 season of the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra (YSO) will be available beginning Friday, July 17. The six concert season advances Music Director Erik Ochsner’s vision of welcoming new audiences to the symphony while continuing to enchant longtime patrons.
The season kicks off the spooky season with Symphonic Sorcery on October 2, 2026, at 7:30pm at Stambaugh Auditorium. Featuring music perfect for October, audiences will embark on a “spooktacular” journey through works by Mozart, John Williams, and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
For the holiday season, the YSO returns to the DeYor Performing Arts Center for two special performances of Home Alone 2 in concert, featuring the film accompanied by live orchestra, on December 22 & 23, 2026 at 7:30pm.
The new year brings the orchestra back to Stambaugh Auditorium on Sunday, January 24, 2027, at 2:30pm for An American Portrait, a concert celebrating the American experience through music by Florence Price, Samuel Barber, and George Gershwin.
Love is in the air on February 11, 2027, at 7:30pm at Stambaugh Auditorium as the YSO celebrates Valentine’s Day with the show tune showcase Almost Like Being In Love. Featuring vocalists Marcus Goldhaber, and Lauren Chapman, the evening will include beloved musical theater favorites from Brigadoon, Anything Goes, and Guys and Dolls.
On March 5, 2027, at 7:30pm pianist Jenny Lin joins the orchestra for Paths Untaken, performing Philip Glass’ Concerto for Piano No. 2 (“Lewis and Clark”). The program concludes with the YSO’s premiere performance of Robert Schumann’s Symphony No. 3.
The season concludes on May 14, 2027, at 7:30pm at the DeYor Performing Arts Center with Inspired By…, featuring works by Jessie Montgomery, Darius Milhaud, and Jean Sibelius. The YSO is also proud to spotlight Principal Percussionist Andrew Pongracz as soloist in Milhaud’s Concerto for Percussion, Op. 109.

Memberships range from $235 to $383 per membership, and individual tickets range from $31 to $80, including all processing and credit card fees.
