YOUNGSTOWN, OH (February 24, 2025): Your Youngstown Symphony Orchestra (YSO) brings Symphonic Superheroes to the Concert Hall at Stambaugh Auditorium on Sunday, March 2, 2025.

The final concert of the 2024/2025 season, Symphonic Superheroes features an exhilarating line up of compositions that are sure to engage and excite the young and the young at heart! Guest conductor Erik Ochsner returns to the podium with a thrilling program highlighting hits from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Indiana Jones, the famous “Ride of the Valkyries” by Richard Wagner, and more. This concert is sure to have you clinging to the edge of your seat.

Ochsner attended The Pieere Monteux School, is a graduate of Dartmouth College and is a proud Finnish American dual citizen. He is considered by audiences and critics alike to be one of the leading film-with-live-orchestra conductors due to his energy, attention to detail and precise synchronization. He is equally comfortable on the concert stage or leading opera, oratorio, and multimedia performances. 

Arrive early and bring the whole family for an exciting pre-concert eent showcasing local organizations. Families will have the opportunity to explore the programs offered by these groups, and even meet and snap photos with a few special superhero guests!
