Giving Tuesday is a global day of generosity that will take place this year on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Created in 2012, Giving Tuesday is a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past 13 years, this idea has grown into a global movement, inspiring hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Over the years, Giving Tuesday has become one of the biggest giving days of the entire year. This year, when gifts are given during one of the two new power hours added on Tuesday, December 2nd, the gift will be doubled! Then, from December 3rd through the 8th, all gifts given will be matched 1:1. This means, for every $1.00 donated to an agency fund on a match day, the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra will receive an additional $1.00 from the Community Foundation.

Through the generous support of our donors, the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra has been providing quality entertainment as well as educational development through greater youth programming for students to develop their understanding and appreciation for the arts.
