Education Programs Youngstown Symphony Youth Orchestra The Youngstown Symphony Youth Orchestra is open to area students, ages 13-18, by audition and presents three concerts annually. The director, Stephen L. Gage, and assistant director, Richard Smrek, are retained by the Youngstown Symphony Society to provide artistic leadership. Youth Orchestra members rehearse each Monday during the school year at the DeYor Performing Arts Center from 6 – 8:30 PM. Tiny Tots
with Jeff and Sally Expanding little one’s horizons
Tiny Tot performances provide plenty of opportunities for lively participation in a musical program using stories, instruments and songs. Geared to a child’s developmental level and social frame of reference, Tiny Tots explores the wonderful world of music. Tiny Tots is available for preschool and kindergarten children. Tiny Tots for Preschool Program Length 20 minutes Age and Group Size Twelve eager 3 and 4 year olds (please observe the group size) Tiny Tots Availability February 2 – May 28, 2009 (excluding holidays and school release dates) Cost $2.50 per child Tiny Tots for Kindergarten Program Length 30 minutes Group Size One classroom with opportunities to schedule back – to – back performances in the school.
